Web design
Your web design is more than just throwing a
website on the internet. Anyone can do that and a lot do.
First before even turning your computer on you
should ask yourself what you want from your website design as far
as functionality as well as how your end design will look.
A good way to do this is to sit down with a notepad
and jot down all of your thoughts and ideas. Then go for a walk
with a friend or family member or a swim or even take the dog for a
walk, just to clear your head.
Now go back and have a look at the previous ideas
you wrote down regarding your web design and see if you still have
the same ideas. This is a good way to weed out emotions and spur of
the moment design concepts which may of seemed great when you first
had them, yet may not be practical or congruent to your web site
design.
Of course if you are building a website for a
client, either as an individual or as a member of the design crew
you will need to consult your client as well as your other team
members at every level and the swim may also go out the window. But
for now we will assume you are building your own website.
Great, we have our rough draft ready and are now
ready to polish it up a little bit. The easiest way to do this is
to look at where you want your website to finish as far as size and
functionality goes, now rather than latter and allow for these
future growth phases in our initial web design.
